About
I am Matt Jachera. I write GrillingSetup on my own. There is no editorial team and no contributor network, so when a page says I did something, it means me.
The site covers grills, smokers, pizza ovens, and the hardware around them. The angle is provenance. Every specification on this site names where it came from and the date it was read, and every page says plainly whether I have cooked on the thing or not. Generic review prose defaults to claiming experience the writer does not have. This site is built so that it cannot.
I also run WorkstationSetup.com, a home office gear review site. The two are separate properties with separate coverage and no shared content.
How it is funded
Affiliate commissions. When you buy through a link here I may earn a percentage. It costs you nothing extra and it does not decide what I recommend or what order things are ranked in. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
The longer version is on the disclosure page.
What I will not do
- Claim I have used something I have not used.
- Publish a specification I cannot point to a source for.
- Show a price without the date I checked it.
- Publish instructions for modifying a gas appliance. That is a licensed trade and a safety certification, not a weekend project.
How I review explains the evidence labels you will see at the top of every page.
